Five Minute Friday: Empty

EMPTY....

GO

At the end of the day I feel empty
I know that this conjures up a negative feeling
But empty is not always bad
Especially in the realm of housekeeping
A sink empty of dishes
Laundry baskets empty of clothes
A room empty of clutter
So when the day is through and my energy is gone
It is good

Perhaps emptiness then should be viewed as energy well spent
A sign of hope and purpose
For who does their laundry
Washes their dishes
Or tidies a room
Without a reason (or reasons!) to do so

Maybe emptiness means having poured yourself out for a reason
Maybe it means having lived fully
Maybe it means that
At the end of my life I would like to be able to say I am empty.

STOP

Normally, I cringe a bit when I see people write like this, but you make it so genuine and original that I end up enjoying it. :) I hope that came across the right way and not the wrong way. lol

Haha! I get it! I mostly do these because I need some motivation somedays to get thoughts and ideas out. But to be honest there have been many 5 minute Fridays I've attempted and didn't post because it ended up being a bunch of incoherent thoughts from an exhausted Mama! lol

Motherhood=Adventure

Worth more than rubies.

“I am more convinced than ever that even in the midst of the mundane, burdensome, and oftentimes frustrating tasks of life allotted to me as a mother, God wants me to find his joy. He wants every single day of my life to be a celebration of his blessings, whether large or small. He wants me to celebrate life ~ the life He has given me.”
