Friday Favorite Things {2}

Friday favorites are therapy.
A reminder of the blessings bestowed on me.
The very sweetest things can't be captured though.
Not really.
But this is the next best thing.
Look back with me on the wonder of the past week or so.

First time hike.
Forever love.

Mirror image curiosity.

Remembering Hawaii.
Once upon a time she couldn't balance on her own two feet.
Now she surfs on the teeter toter.

Wading in til the water is up over her boots.
This is how my girl lives life.
When I let her be and watch it all unfold,
I find such beauty in how she takes on the world.

Baby robot, hula dancer Mama.
Makes sense.

Silly face.
This girl can make be laugh from deep down inside.
She can also make me want to bang my head against the wall somedays but I don't have a picture of that.

The wonder of a lighted jack-o-lantern.

She didn't want to open her bat wings because people had laughed at her when she did at some point.
Such a sensitive little babe.
I'm thankful for her openness in sharing feelings hurt.
And her acceptance of the advice I provide.
Being her Mom is the best .
Being her confidant, even better.

I could watch her pinching up blueberries all day long.
So intent on the prize.

Everything inspected.
Mastering observation.
Time is irrelevant.

Sweet sweetness.

Adventures together are a necessity for teacher/student relationships.

Little mother.

She's really good at it, too.

Favorite picture of the week.
This baby melts me over and over again

Forever in a dress up princess dress.
Which drives me crazy.
Especially when it's time to take it off.
But I know - someday I'll miss this.
So I choose my fights.
 And address her as 'Princess'.

The sisterhood.
Tonight, all three were piled on top of me.
The oldest two were kissing the baby over and over.
They belly laughed and squirmed and squished each other until somebody inevitably yelled.
And I wrapped my arms around them and smiled.

I love motherhood.

We're a smiling family.

I'm a covenant keeper.

I love my husband.

I am above self pity.

I am a nation builder.

Motherhood=Adventure

Worth more than rubies.

“I am more convinced than ever that even in the midst of the mundane, burdensome, and oftentimes frustrating tasks of life allotted to me as a mother, God wants me to find his joy. He wants every single day of my life to be a celebration of his blessings, whether large or small. He wants me to celebrate life ~ the life He has given me.”
